Who are the BridgeKidz?

The BridgeKidz program is set up specifically for our 5 th, 6 th, and 7 th grade students. The purpose of this program is to “Bridge” this age group from the younger students in children’s ministry to the older students in our youth ministry program.

The goal for these students is to strengthen their personal walk with Jesus Christ, build relationships that are pleasing to God and serve others compassionately. One way we are accomplishing this goal is by using a curriculum geared for this age group called “Grapple”. The Grapple program is an exciting way to teach kids about Jesus. Each week we “grapple” with topics such as is Jesus a lunatic, a liar, or is he Lord.

Where & When?

The BridgeKidz meet every Sunday morning from 10:30 am – 12:10 pm. We start off with worship in the main sanctuary and then go up stairs for fun, fellowship, and a wonderful time with the Lord.

Downey Holiday Parade

On December 2nd the LLCF Downey Bridgekidz walked in the 56th annual Downey Holiday Lane Parade. We were blessed to have Hanna P., Rebekah P., and Kelli B. join us from our High School ministry team. The parade started at Lexington Ave and ended at the city hall on Civic Center Dr. The kids represented the “keep Downey beautiful” project. We walked down the streets in our orange city clean up T shirts and waved to the crowd as we walked by. It was fun to connect with each other and our community.
